Bombs go off in school, 2 children hurt

SUIR: Two students of a primary school in Dubrajpur were injured when a crude bomb, kept on the school compound, went off on Wednesday morning. According to school sources, the bombs were kept in the toilet of the school. Lakshman Das, the headmaster of Dhagram Primary School under Dubrajpur police station, said: "We were in the school office and suddenly heard the sound of the explosion. The students were immediately sent to hospital."
According to locals, the bombs were kept wrapped in a yellow paper. Probably, the students threw stones at it triggering the explosion. The injured students - Seikh Ranjan of Class II and Raman Islam of Class III - were admitted to Suri Hospital. Hospital sources said both the students received splinter injuries. the children told that both the children received splinter injuries.

When they were brought to the hospital they were senseless. The kids, hospital authorities said, were out of danger. the doctors would keep them under observation and examine the condition of eyes.
Raja Ghosh, chairman, Birbhum District School Council, said: We have spoken to the headmaster of the school. The children were sent to hospital in time . Our officials have been told to keep contact with the hospital authorities so that the children get proper treatment."
