Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Sharma and Haryana Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal said Right to Education Act is being implemented in letter and spirit in the state to ensure education to all the children. Inaugurating a school set up by Round Table India and P and G Education costing Rs 85 lakh at Purkhas village near Ganaur in Sonepat district today, Mr Sharma said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had made concerted efforts to promote education in the state. Appreciating the efforts made by Ms Geeta Bhukkal to take the policies of the state government in right direction, he said that out of total budget of Rs 42,000 crore, a sum of Rs 8067 crore had been kept only for education. Speaking on the occasion, Ms Bhukkal said it was the primary duty of educated youth of the state to play a positive role in providing proper education to the poor children. She said along with proper implementation of Right to Education Act, the state government had implemented a programme to identify sports skills of the children of the state and giving them right direction under Sports and Physical Aptitude Test (SPAT) programme.
