Implement RTE Act in JK: NSUI

JAMMU: State President of National Students Union of India (NSUI), Uday Chib  has urged the State Government to implement Right to Education (RTE) Act in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing media persons here on Thursday, Chib said that the children between the age group 6-14 years should be given free and compulsory education.
He pointed that according to the Act, all private schools need to reserve 25 per cent of seats for the children belonging to poor families. Also, NSUI will organise programs to make people aware about  the Act, he said .
Meanwhile, all the state office bearers of NSUI today decided to raise this issue of RTE Act  in each and every district of the State.
Others who were present on the occasion included State General Secretary, Ajay Kumar; State General Secretary, Siddhart Pathania; Ramansh Billawaria, Prabjoot Singh, Amjad Mushtaq Bhatt, Vijay Singh, Sunny Parhiar, Aman Thapa and Rajinder Gupta.
