Maharashtra govt mulling a separate Tribal Education Commissionerate

NASHIK: The Maharashtra government is contemplating to constitute a separate 'Adivasi Shikshan Ayuktalaya' (Tribal Education Commissionerate) for all round development of the state's tribal community.
Tribal Development minister Babarao Pachpute made this announcement last evening stating that it will promote education and progress of the tribals.

He further said that cultural bhawans will be set up in 15 districts of Maharashtra for tribals and bio-metric system will be adopted in Ashram schools and before Diwali festival this year.
Also, a Kavita Raut sports academy will be set at Igatpuri in nashik district on 22 acre land, Pachpute said adding that another sports academy is planne at Nandurbar in North Maharashtra.
